Pippa Healy - If Not Now Then When
The images for the zine were taken over a year. They are taken on an i-phone and on 35mm film. I have used handwritten text but also 'found' text which I have enjoyed combining. The series is about anxiety, of trying to navigate the world post pandemic.
BIO
Pippa Healy is a photographic artist based in London. Her practice is primarily diaristic –and is concerned with themes around loss, longing, violence and grief. Her handmade ‘Zines’, which are often raw, abject and diaristic in style are central to her practice. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is part of a number of private collections. Pippa works with both analogue and digital photography as well as printmaking techniques such as screen-printing and photopolymer. Her hand made photobooks are sold in The Photographers Gallery in London, and The Royal Photographic Society. The zines have been exhibited internationally and are held in the Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol, Tate archive and the MEP in Paris.
